Dylan thomas’ Swansea: The Actor’s Walking Tour

This lively and entertaining Dylan Thomas Walking Tour is a chance to walk through the centre of Dylan’s “ugly, lovely town”, Swansea and view the iconic sites where he grew up and in which he celebrated through his poetry and prose. You’ll be in the company of local actors who are very passionate about their local hero.

Your guide and actors will perform some of that inspiring, fun, quirky, irksome poetry and prose throughout the journey which will visit such places as Captain Cat’s Statue, Dylan Thomas Square, Swansea Museum, Wind Street, Salubrious Passage, Castle Square, St Mary’s Church, Old Evening Post Building, Three Lamps, Kardomah Café, High Street, BBC Building, No Sign Bar and the Queens Hotel.

We’ll start and finish at one of these “haunts” to sample the local ales, enjoy local fayre with a Welsh pub dining experience whilst revelling in the almost unchanged surroundings from the time of the great Welsh wordsmith.
